Adding Domain Into Surel.io
Ensure you can access your domain to add A Record, SPF Record, DKIM Record, or anything we need to validate your domain into surel.io. Or ask your domain administrator to help you follow this guide
The default domain will display a sub-domain from Surel.io that you provide on trial registration (e.g., yourcompany.surel.io).
you can add your domain by clicking "Add Domain" under the "Domain" Menu

Input the domain name that you want to use for your email address; if you input example.com, your email address will be account@example.com, and if you input login.example.com, your email address will be account@login.example.com
Please make sure you input the correct domain for your email.

Once you click Next, the creating domain need to process for at least two to five minutes until the domain creation finish


After the domain is successfully added, your domain status will be "Verifying" Click the gear icon on the right side to verify the process.

This is the most concern in the process of adding a domain, and These are two steps required to send and receive email from your domain in surel.io

1. Verify Domain Ownership
After the domain successfully creates, the first thing to do is add TXT Record on your DNS Management using TXT Record that we have provided and generate it automatically.

We understand there are lots of DNS Management available today, but we used CloudFlare as an example of adding a TXT Record to ensure the domain is under your ownership.

2. Set Up Your DNS Records
After the domain is successfully verified, the next step is to add SPF Record, DMARC Record, DKIM Record, and MX Record on your DNS Management using Record we have provided and generate it automatically.
Make sure the data you input in your DNS Management is "EXACTLY THE SAME" as the record data we provide.

2.1. Add SPF Record

The default status before SPF Record is added to your domain is "Waiting for verification.", please follow several links to add SPF Records based on DNS Provider

If your DNS Provider doesn't list here, please ask the person managing your website, After successfully adding SPF Record, the status will change to "OK".
2.2. Add DMARC Record

The default status before DMARC Record is added to your domain is "Waiting for verification.", please follow several links to add DMARC Records based on DNS Provider

If your DNS Provider doesn't list here, please ask the person managing your website, After successfully adding DMARC Record, the status will change to "OK".
2.3. Add DKIM Record
We generate "2 (Two) DKIM Records" for each domain; make sure you include both DKIMs in your DNS

2.4. Add MX Record
If you set MX Records, it means all your email traffic will pass through the surel.io system.
Ensure all email data on the existing server has been migrated to surel.io. (if you need an assistant to migrate your email data from existing server, contact our support at support@taffeta.co.id)
You can SKIP this MX Record configuration and add an email account on the Users menu.

2.5. Domain Status
If you skip the MX Record configuration, the domain status will change from "Verifying" to "Waiting for MX."

If you completed the MX Record configuration, the domain status would change from "Verifying" to "Connected." and get domain details configuration of your DNS Record.
